Professional Certification Level I (PPC-I) Program

PPC-I is the foundational program in the series. It is designed for the busy student/professional who seeks authentic yet progressive Pilates education in a highly integrated format. PPS-I includes instruction on the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac (tower end), Chairs and Barrels for beginner through intermediate levels. Through action-oriented coaching, self-evaluation tools and concrete feedback, PPPC-I prepares instructors to teach private sessions and small-group classes in a safe, effective and flowing workout.

To achieve Level I certification, participants must register for and attend modules 1, 2, 3 and 4 in succession, with 3-6 weeks between each module. Certification requires successful completion of all four modules, as well as passing scores on practical and written assessments during the Module 4 course.

The Peak Pilates® Comprehensive Certification Pathway is a three-level Pilates instructor training program which culminates in a Peak Pilates® Comprehensive Certification. The program provides integrated and systematic instruction on the mat, reformer, cadillac, chairs, barrels and accessories .Each level delivers Pilates teacher training in an affordable, easy to access module format that allows you to assess and progress at your own pace. 

 

 
 
 
LEVEL I /Modules 1-4
 

Level I comprises 4 modules. Each module builds upon the knowledge and skills learned in the prior module and culminate in a Level I Peak Pilates® Certification. This is the foundational program in the series. Level-I includes instruction on the mat, reformer, Cadillac (tower end), chairs and barrels for beginner through intermediate levels. Through action-oriented coaching, self-evaluation tools and concrete feedback, Level-I prepares instructors to teach private sessions and small-group classes in a safe, effective and flowing workout. The course is comprised of 4 modules. Each module builds upon the knowledge and skills learned in the prior module and culminate in a level I Peak Pilates® Comprehensive Certification.

Module 1: The Foundation. 20 hours

  •  Introduction to the Peak Pilates 5-Part Formula for Success
  •  Key concepts, fundamentals and introduction to the Powerhouse
  •  Introductory mat work and mat building blocks

Module 2: Introduction to the Apparatus. 20 hours

  •  Introduction to the Reformer, High Chair, Small Barrel and High Ladder Barrel
  •  Learn transitions, cueing and touch techniques

Module 3: Beginner/Intermediate Level Apparatus. 20 hours

  •  Pilates Low Chair exercises
  •  Intermediate level Reformer and Ladder Barrel exercises
  •  Common errors; how to identify proper body alignment
  •  How to structure a complete Pilates session

Module 4: Intermediate Level Fluency. 20 hours

  •  Remaining High Ladder Barrel exercises
  •  Review all apparatus and mat exercises
  •  Review theory, practice teach and get feedback

Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic human anatomy and kinesiology, and at least 20 hours of Pilates training.-

Requirements and Certification 
Attendance in all sessions of each module; homework assignments; successful completion of written and practical assessments; and completion of 120 logged hours: 25 observation hours, 60 personal practice hours and 35 teaching hours. Upon completion of all requirements, a Level I Peak Pilates® Certification will be awarded, which allows the teacher to teach safe and effective beginner to intermediate workouts to healthy individuals.

Module 1

Registration Fee: $599.00

This 20 hour course is the foundation of the Peak Pilates Professional Training and Certification Program. Participants will learn the Peak Pilates 5-Part Formula for Success, Pilates key concepts and fundamentals, introductory mat work, mat building blocks, and an introduction to the Powerhouse. Homework assignments on the evening of the second day will help participants to assimilate the knowledge and skills learned. At the conclusion of the course, participants will receive action plans to guide their further practice and refinement of skills.

 

Module 2

Registration Fee: $599.00 

This 20 hour course is the second Module of the Peak Pilates Professional Training and Certification Program. To attend this course, you must first complete Module 1.

The curriculum for Module 2 expands upon the concepts and foundation taught in Module 1, and progresses to an introduction to the Reformer, High Chair, Small Barrel and High Ladder Barrel. An emphasis on transitions, cueing, spotting and touch technique creates a hands-on, interactive course experience to further prepare participants to gain the skills needed for certification.

 

Module 3

Registration Fee: $599.00

This 20 hour course is the third Module of the Peak Pilates Professional Training and Certification Program. To attend this course, you must first complete Modules 1 and 2.

The curriculum for Module 3 progresses to the Pilates Low Chair, as well as additional Reformer and Ladder Barrel exercises. An emphasis on alignment in different body positions, common errors, cueing, spotting, and teaching a full Pilates session creates a hands-on, interactive course experience to further prepare participants to gain the skills needed for certification.

 

Module 4

Registration Fee: $599.00

This 20 hour course is the final Module of the Peak Pilates Professional Level I Training and Certification Program. To attend this course, you must first complete Modules 1 through 3.

The curriculum for Module 4 covers the remaining High Ladder Barrel exercises, as well as a review of all the equipment and mat exercises. An emphasis on theoretical review and supervised practice teaching and feedback prepares participants for the written and practical assessments administered at the end of the course.
